NORTH LIMA — Beaver Township Police found 15 illegal immigrants at a Market Street gas station today, traveling from Indiana to Delaware.

The immigrants were headed to work in a watermelon patch in Delaware, police were told.

About 6:30 p.m., police got a call from a truck driver at the Pilot station on Market Street, complaining that a bus and two vehicles traveling with it were parked illegally.

The caller made a comment about the bus’s occupants being illegal, police said.

When they arrived, police found the immigrants and the bus driver and contacted agents from Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Those agents determined the passengers were in the country illegally.
