A Buckeye police officer discovered 15 undocumented immigrants when he conducted a minor traffic stop, authorities said.

Immigration Customs and Enforcement agents took the 15 people into custody, according to authorities.

The name of the driver was not released , but he is allegedly pending a smuggling charge, said Buckeye Police spokesman Parrish Spisz.

K-9 Officer John Larson stopped the white Dodge van for a minor traffic violation traveling on SR 85 from MC 85 last Thursday at 2:17 a.m., said Spisz. Larson saw that the rear end of the van was low. Larson approached the passenger side of the vehicle and saw people hiding under blankets, he added.

Larson called for back up. When officers responded to the scene, all of the occupants were removed from the vehicle and seated on the shoulder of the roadway, added Spisz. Officers contacted immigration authorities.

For every group that is stopped, 10 groups get through. Borders need to be secured now not later.

These headlines kill me. Living in Florida I could probably go out right now, drive around for 30 minutes, and find about 10 vans full of ILLEGAL ALIENS (I believe in using the correct terminology). Like this is a big shocker or something.

I would think the number is much higher than that.

Around here this isn't really news, this is an everyday occurance.

It is refreshing to read that Officer John Larson was able to do his job and NOT be brought up on charges of somehow violating the 15 illegals non existent civil rights. .....things might be looking up!
