Border Patrol chase ends in arrest of two

SAN DIEGO – Two people were arrested Wednesday following a Border Patrol chase that began when an agent observed suspicious activity in a residential neighborhood of Imperial Beach near Servando Avenue and Dairy Mart Road, about two miles north of the U.S-Mexico border, authorities said.

Border Patrol Agent Julius Alatorre said an agent was observing a vehicle in the area about noon when one person jumped into it and the driver sped off.

“The agent observed an individual rush into this vehicle, and it alerted him because it is an area that has a history of illegal alien activity,â€
