Mexican citizen faces federal prison time for reentering US illegally

ALBANY – A Kingston man, who was expelled from the United States to Mexico in November 2006, could face up to 10 years in federal prison and three years parole for sneaking back into the US.

Cesar Jesus Solis Hernandez, 25, was encountered by an Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer at the Ulster County Jail in January 2010.

He had been booted out of the country in 2006 for his Ulster County conviction for driving while intoxicated.

Solis Hernandez pled guilty in federal court on Thursday.

The matter was investigated by the Department of homeland Security, Bureau of Immigration and Customs Enforcement in Fishkill
