HEREFORD — A massive garbage dump has been found high above Brown Canyon Trail, a loop that is popular for hikers, equestrians and mountain bikers.

With help from a local outdoorsman who searched for and found the trash cache, the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality and Cochise College are assembling a volunteer team to clean up the dump.
Jimmy Walker of Whetstone scouts this trash site high above Brown Canyon on Monday. He has led officials from Arizona and Cochise College to the site. A volunteer effort is being planned for Monday and Tuesday to remove the rubbish.

American Patrol Report Comment -- March 12

    Top: Trash dropped by aliens
    Bottom: So-called DHS fence

Yesterday's Sierra Vista Herald reports finding a "massive garbage dump" in the Huachuca Mountains south of Sierra Vista. The trash consisted of backpacks and other paraphernalia in common use by illegal aliens as they make their trek north to the United States.
The Herald's story was accompanied by more than seventy comments by readers, many complaining that the Border Patrol doesn't require aliens to pick up their trash after being apprehended. It seems they were assuming that the trash was dropped when the aliens were arrested. Not true. The trash consists of things migrants need to make the trip north. They dump these things before they get into a "load vehicle" thus making more room for others. The Border Patrol rarely apprehends people in the heart of the Huachucas.
Many readers missed the real story, e.g., there is no fence to stop the aliens from crossing the border into the Huachuca Mountains in the first place. DHS says it has a "fence" along the border, but it isn't a fence at all. [See: This isn't a fence"]
Huachuca Mountains [/url]are filled with illegal aliens. They could be stopped, but your government is not interested in doing that. The idea that they would let illegal aliens destroy a nature preserve should outrage Americans.

STUMP CANYON — A group of teenagers hiked out here on Saturday morning to collect trash left over from illegal immigrant traffic in the area.

The teens were members of a U.S. Border Patrol program out of the Naco station that seeks to teach skills and offer basic training to teenagers who are interested in law enforcement.

One day a week, the U.S. Border Patrol’s Naco Station Explorer Program teaches teenagers everything from proper handcuffing and arresting techniques to how to handle firearms and clear a building, said William Schaeck, Border Patrol agent and lead adviser of the program.

    “It’s pretty much all encompassing,â€
