Neighborhood foot patrol arrests

Sulphur Police Chief Chris Abrahams reported that on August 24, 2007, officers of the Sulphur Police Department conducted a high intensity neighborhood foot patrol concentrating on high crime areas.

Officers went house to house speaking with residents about any concerns they have that the Police Department could help with.. Making themselves visible in the neighborhood areas revealed several violations resulting in twenty one (19) arrests.

Patrol within the trailer parks at Carr Lane resulted in three arrest for open container violations, David Silt, three arrests possession of marijuana, Sandy Paul Urias, Michael Paul Urias, and Layla Anne Marcum, and one violation of no possession of drivers license.

Officers on patrol at the McArthur Apartments, 100 McArthur Street resulted in the arrests of five illegal aliens, Alfredo Matinez Nava, Armandon Portales Gutierrez, Julian Mazimiliano Ponce, Joel Martin Gozales, Zeaido Mejia Sanchez and three narcotic arrests, Bobby Lee Sullivan Jr., Natalie N. Gardner, and Eric M. Madrigal.

The trailer park located at 601 Lincoln Street officers had one open container issued to Martin William Pomes and three narcotic arrests, Brenda Louise Christopher, Gerald Dwayne Ryan and another with charges pending.

The neighborhood of Alice, Elm, and Beulah Street officers on patrol arrested one on outstanding warrant, Willie B. Ryan and had one (1) open container violation Tyson Dennard Sonnier.

We need more police departments like this. They can come to my area anytime.
