So what did they expect? The brain drain happens all to often when they bring in these "skilled" workers from third world countries to replace the American worker. Germany is also going through a brain drain crisis as well.

The state is flooded with illiterate, unskilled illegal aliens. Anyone with any brains is leaving. I'm still here.....must not be too bright huh?

I am a unversity professor in California, and the only reason I'm still here is because I love my job! I am so sad at what California schools are dealing with. If we can't get a handle on the illegal immigration thing, I will eventually take my tax dollars to another state where they listen to reason--or I have even considered leaving the US altogether. As I look to possible cities for retirement in other states, my number 1 consideration is whether it's a Sanctuary City or not. I respect the group Save Our State...and I certainly hope they prevail...but I'm sure that I represent many educated citizens who are not willing to pay the cost of this Calif invasion. We will just leave.

    Hi DJ and welcome.
I raised three college graduates and they have all left California for other states, just too fed up with the illegal alien invasion. I'm sure this scenario has been repeated tens of thousands of times here in the state. Imagine what this will do to the tax base. I don't see how Los Angeles stays afloat, there is no one left in the city BUT illegals.

I wrote to Lou Dobbs once that I would like to see someone figure the cost to the taxpayers for amnesty--and in terms of cost PER FAMILY. People don't get it when it is far from them. California is far away for lots of people, and they may not see that what Los Angeles has become is a forunner of things to come for every other city in the country. Just considering Calif., seeing the cost in terms of tax base per family in the state would sober people up. We really do need a third party that listens to the people. What a concept!
