    Doesn't surprise me. My MIL was just telling me how bad things have gotten over there. I lived there for 2 years and we were always so broke, no wonder we moved back to NJ. Yep, even the UK made NJ look cheap, now that's sad. The taxpayers pay so much as it is!

    Is their a path to citizenship for these asylum seekers? I guess this won't matter if the country goes broke, which could be an indication that the European Union isn't working???

    The EU is probably not working! Now they are having (more) gun issues and killings as well among problems with "yobs" -- youths becoming violent, gang issues, and so forth. Yep, things are going swell over there! (British sarcasm there.)

    I used to live there, also, both in England and Wales. As your MIL probably knows, native British are emigrating by the thousands. Many are going to places like Australia, New Zealand and Canada. I guess they can no longer tolerate their way of life being destroyed. The British government has gone mad.
