    Immigration panel to hold hearing in Norfolk on Wednesday

    NORFOLK

    A state commission that's assessing immigration's impact on public services plans to hold a public hearing in Norfolk on Wednesday.

    The Virginia Commission on Immigration is collecting information from around the state on immigration, legal and illegal.

    Wednesday's hearing is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the Raleigh Building on the second floor of Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.

    The commission already has held similar hearings in Fairfax and Roanoke and plans additional hearings in Harrisonburg and Richmond.
