Who May Qualify to Remain in U.S. Under New Policy

    August 19, 2011, 8:53 AM ET.

Who May Qualify to Remain in U.S. Under New Obama Immigration Policy.

    By Nathan Koppel

Immigration rights advocates earlier this week voiced anger at the Obama administration for targeting criminal offenders for deportation — a crackdown, critics contend, that has netted too many low-levels offenders who are never even convicted of crimes.

Presumably, critics have less to complain about, after the president yesterday made a major shift in immigration policy, announcing that the administration might allow many of the 300,000 illegally immigrants currently facing deportation to remain in the country.

The White House announced that it would use more discretion and review deportation cases on an individual basis, possibly sparing those who aren’t deemed a true threat to public safety. Here’s an article from WSJ’s Miriam Jordan announcing the policy shift.

So, under the president’s new case-by-case approach to deportation, what type of folks stand an improved chance of remaining in the U.S. ? The administration fortunately has provided some guidance.

We start with a statement posted to the White House blog from Cecilia Munoz, the White House Director of Intergovernmental Affairs.

“There are more than 10 million people who are in the U.S. illegally; it’s clear that we can’t deport such a large number,â€

Don't reward the criminal actions of millions of illegal aliens by giving them citizenship.

    Hmm better use of resources:

Concentrate on Grand Larceny's while ignoring Petite Larceny's.

Concentrate on DWI's while ignoring speeders.

Concentrate on bank robbers while ignoring shoplifters.

Those ideas would never fly yet this 'policy BS' is allowed to soar!

Obama's new policy subverts our laws. The policies are illegal and any agency that implements them is breaking the law.

He may get his civil unrest after all, people are fed up with the fraud and election rigging and this is the most blatant and worst case on record. A Presdent that has no morals is not fit to be the leadrer of a moral people, JMO.

Was this the plan when DHS and the SPLC started putting out the middle class whiter terrorist prpaganda? Doing their propaganda prep for the big "event". Sorry worthless bunch of near do wells. I saw people like them in Russia in 1990.

I am thinking that Napolitano will do anything to stay in power, as will Holder and the rest of the sorry politboro that is occupying Washington.

Something to remember about voting and immigration as Obama is giving in to the illegal aliens.....
As soon as an alien is given legal residency, they CAN and DO vote in local elections, by LAW. Most of them just vote in national elections as well, because they know nothing will be done...nothing was done when they broke the law to get here, was it??

For years, I've been putting out the information on how many places in this country aliens get to vote! No one seems to notice. Non citizens are electing your leaders! This doesn't even touch the MILLIONS of anchor babies who turn 18 every year and advance their socialist views! WAKE UP!

And something to remember about the majority of average 'legal' voters .. they are APATHETIC towards believing their vote counts because of so many broken political promises by professional politicians controlled by lobbyists hostile to American values and sovereignty.

    Thanks for posting that, AuntB.
