Not enforcing law is what's un-American
Published: 12/12/2007 12:17 AM
When someone writes in and states it would be un-American to fix the immigration issue in this country, I realize this is a confused individual.
The United States takes in more immigrants than any country in the world. Immigrants entering this country have background checks and medical exams to make sure they don't have any contagious disease.
Immigration is not a problem. Illegal immigration is a problem and it needs to end. I am glad to see some of the trustees in Carpentersville address this problem and take action.
To me, it is un-American not to enforce the laws of this country.
