The Minuteman Project resumes its Texas training today.

Armed with night-vision goggles and a cellular phone or two-way radio, the minutemen conducted their exercises - this time in El Paso.

Volunteers are learning what to watch for along the Texas-Mexico border, and how to report what they see.

Leaders want to make sure everything goes smoothly.

Minutemen director Chris Simcox says, " It is about a strict operating procedure to ensure the safety of our volunteers and that they do not ever come close to taking the law into their hands."

Several Texas congressmen say they are grateful for anything that brings attention to the border problems in the state.
