GOP Lawmakers Got Played: Details of Border Deal Shows Democrat Dream Agreement

GOP Lawmakers Got Played: Details of Border Deal Shows Democrat Dream Agreement

    February 14, 2019

Congressional negotiators announced on Monday night they have a border wall funding agreement they believe President Trump will sign into law.

The agreement was announced by a group of lawmakers led by Republican Sen. Richard Shelby and Democratic Rep. Nita Lowey, after a closed-door meeting on Capitol Hill.

On Wednesday FOX News announced Democrats
slipped a “poison pill” into the deal that will prevent the 55 miles of wall from being built.

But the agreement is even worse than what is being reported.

Funds can only be used to make steel bollard design… no concrete wall, no prototypes. Same thing as what Bush and Obama built… just a little bit taller.

The bill secures more than $3.1 billion in foreign health services, more than twice for the wall.

The bill DOES expand Catch and Release by reducing the number of border beds from 49,060 to 40,520.

No funding for additional enforcement and removal field personnel. – that means no more ICE agents to deport people already in the country.

Expands the Alternatives to Detention program from 82,000 to 100,000… so instead of housing family units at the border- they get moved into the interior where they almost always stay in the country permanently.

Provides $40 million for additional ICE staffing dedicated to overall ATD case management, particularly for asylum seekers… so no new ICE agents, but money to ICE to help illegal aliens settle in a non-detention center in the country.

Does not eliminate any foundations that Trump wanted to get rid of including: The Asia Foundation, the U.S. African Development Foundation, the Inter-American Foundation, and the U.S. Trade and Development Agency

Once again the Republicans in Congress got outplayed.

VOTE: Are You Still In Favor Of The Border Wall?

At this point it should be clear that the GOP may be playing for the other side.

The last sentence sums it up.

There is absolutely no way these elected R's can be that dumb.

There is absolutely no way they can get outplayed every single time, year after year, deal after deal.

Yes, they are in on the playing, and playing with the other side.

Now that the legislation is out, the truth is being exposed. It's Valentine's Day and this farce of legislation is an "act of love" toward illegal aliens, drug cartels, ms 13 gang members, any foreign citizen who is poor, unskilled who has yet to come. This is a gift to democrats who want more voters, those seeking open borders and transformation, globalists, anyone against the best interests of America and her citizens.

Too many republicans are supporting this without knowing or reading the details. Republicans who support this garbage should be ashamed.

I'm betting the majority of them haven't even read the bill. Many of them were at Rep. Walter Jones' funeral in N.C. earlier today. IMO, many of them are backing the bill because Republican leadership has told them it's a win for them and Trump.

They do scan for news headlines constantly, and I'm sure were aware of the poison pills.

One of those poison pills is as bad or worse than an amnesty. Declaring a National Emergency will not erase that poison pill. They have basically signed our country away.

    ----------------
Section 224(a) would make it so ICE cannot detain or remove anyone who has effectively any kind of relationship (even just as a "potential sponsor") with any unaccompanied minor:

    Let that really sink in.....

    VETO IT!

    Do a Continuing Resolution

Declare National Emergency to build the barriers

Make the House, Senate and Congress work with NO pay and no backpay and get these "land mines" out of the Bill.

    NO DEAL...DO NOT SIGN THIS!

DO C.R. TO KEEP GOVERMENT OPEN AND CLOSE THAT DAMN BORDER DOWN!
ILLEGAL ALIENS HAVE "BROKEN" OUR IMMIGRATION SYSTEM

DO NOT REWARD THEM - DEPORT THEM ALL
