Iowa: Man to be deported after felony ID theft
A Hawarden, Iowa, man was sentenced to jail and one year of probation Monday for falsifying his identity to get work.
Marciano Montes-Acuna, 52, received a suspended five-year prison sentence for two counts of felony identity theft from District Judge James Scott and a 77-day jail sentence for three misdemeanor forgery charges, Sioux County Attorney Coleman McAllister said.
Montes-Acuna was arrested Oct. 29 by Hawarden Police for not having a valid driver's license or vehicle insurance. Police found he had falsified Resident Alien and Social Security cards. He used the documents to work at Premium Iowa Pork in Hospers and Advance Services in Sioux Center.
Because he served his jail term, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement will start the deportation process.

What I see here is the judicial system, through pre-sentencing investigation, doing the VERY minimum in sentencing and then sending them off to ICE for the process.
What you don't see here is "where he will be deported to" and of course, once again, the failure of the media to identify him as an illegal alien. How long or when will he return to once again prey?
Minimum sentencing = less tax $$ spent on incarceration.
No matter how much time served, ICE still gets to process the deportation.
For those "victims" of his identity theft, who's doing what to help them get their "identity" straightened out?
Identity theft in my opinion the rape of someone because they steal SO MUCH and leaves you in limbo for years. When will the U.S. do something to assist the victims of these crimes. They end up being the ones to pay the penalties because unless they are "rich" it takes countless hours and money to "clear up the issues" of identity theft.
There isn't anyone, but the victim, to clear up this mess because to get legal aid most generally you have to hire, out of your own pocket, an attorney.
Identity theft isn't physical on the person's body per se BUT it is a physical assault on one's character and reputation. It leaves you with the feeling of insecurity that may never disappear no matter how much therapy, etc. you receive.
