LAREDO, TX.- A 46 year old man, who was a legal resident of the United States was declared guilty of trying to re-enter the country after being deported.

A Federal Court declared Juan Francisco Jara Favela guilty, who also has 2 previous convictions for drug possession.

Jara Favela faces a possible 10 year prison sentence and a fine of up to 250,000 dollars for his intention of crossing illegally.

Reports indicate that Jara Favela was arrested on May 25th of this year on the Gateway to the Americas international bridge.

The subject tried crossing into the U.S by falsely stating he was only going to ask a question and that he was on American territory, when in fact videos demonstrate that he was coming from Nuevo Laredo.
