14,000 Pounds of Pot Seized by Border Patrol Agents

(2009) RIO GRANDE VALLEY - Four men are behind bars and more than 14,000 pounds of pot are off the streets. The drugs were seized during several unrelated bust by Border Patrol agents.

In one bust, agents spotted a suspicious vehicle by the river. Two men bailed from the car. They were found with the help of a CBP office of Air and Marine helicopter. They were arrested and close to $1 million worth of pot was seized.

Two other men were arrested near Garciasville when they were found with more than 1,000 pounds of marijuana.

In all seizures, the drugs were turned over to the DEA.
