He's so cavalier isn't he?

The point is, Barry, that it's not just the language. Spanish represents your position on amnesty being forced down our throats. So, please, don't tell me what I need to learn and get your hand out of my wallet to pay for benefits for your cheap labor.

I don't even to need to think bout this one . I'll go with "W" assessment

If obama wasn't "Ticked" by Alipac's Headline "Land Mine". He (obama) wouldn't have rode that fence so hard . Yes immigrates should learn english . No obama-snob it's , Yes immigrates "Must" learn english .

Languages are electives, and there is no reason for them to be anything else. I took 2 years of Latin, Spanish and French...and it was just enough for those week-end trips to Ensenada and the occasional trip to Europe for special occasions. In the 70's and 80's there was NO pressure to learn Spanish to communicate with the immigrants who migrated. They were respectful, hard working people who made great efforts to learn English and assimilate into our society. Everything was simpatico.

This arrogant former 'community organizer' with barely 2 years in the Senate is NOT going to tell us that OUR children have to learn Spanish to accomodate 25M illegal Mexicans and Central Americans. Most of them are illiterate in their OWN language!

I haven't heard Obamination talking about anyone learning American history, Civics, Science, Botany, Algebra, Geometry, Calculus, Triginometry, American Lit, Economics, or Latin or Greek (the root origin of all languages).

I read somewhere that the entire Spanish vocabulary consists of something like 1% of the words contained in Webster's dictionary! Maybe that explains the illiteracy rate in Mexico! This country is regressing...not progressing. We going be back in the Stone Age if this insanity continues!

The issue is that millions of illegal aliens, primarily from south of the border, are refusing to assimilate and speak our language. We should not -- and I refuse to -- learn to speak Spanish while I live in the U.S.

If I move to Spain or Mexico (doubtful), I'll reconsider.

I'm sorry. Mr. Obama does not seem tough enough to fight his way out of a paper bag. Putin is licking his chops just waiting to eat Obama.......
Will a real leader in the UNITED STATES please step up and take control now............................................... .......

We did not criticize Obama for saying children should pursue other languages as electives in school.

We criticized Obama for saying "You should make sure you teach your kids to speak Spanish!"
