Lou Dobbs Tonight
Tuesday, March 18, 2008

Tonight, we’ll have the latest on the presidential campaign
following Sen. Barack Obama’s speech today on race in politics
and the incendiary comments of his pastor Rev. Jeremiah Wright.

Plus, we’ll have the latest on the state of the economy
following the Federal Reserve’s three-quarter point interest
rate cut, and:

* The mortgage meltdown has left millions of homeowners
struggling to avoid foreclosure and shattered confidence on
Wall Street as one of America’s largest investment banks
collapsed this week. Is the Federal Reserve action too little,
too late? We’ll take a closer look.

* States across the country are facing budget shortfalls as the
current national economic downturn reduces tax revenues.
California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger is proposing $4.8
billion in education cuts to deal with his state’s massive
budget deficit. We’ll take a look at how California’s budget
crisis will result in thousands of lost teaching jobs, larger
class sizes and even the closing of some school districts.
