3 Illegal Immigrants Die of Exposure
Texas: 3 Illegal Immigrants Die of Exposure
By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS
Published: January 27, 2007
Three illegal immigrants have been found dead from exposure to the cold in the past few days in Duval County, in the southern part of the state, sheriff’s officials said. The immigrants were found wearing light, rain-soaked clothing during a period when nighttime temperatures had been dipping to 34 degrees, Cmdr. Romeo Ramirez of the sheriff’s office said. A 22-year-old woman from Nicaragua was found early Wednesday in brush on private ranch land after other immigrants told officials that she had been unable to keep up with them. A 28-year-old woman from El Salvador was found around 4 p.m. on Wednesday under a bridge north of Route 16. And Border Patrol agents found a man from El Salvador around 4 a.m. on Thursday in brush about a mile from where the first body had been found.

Didn't pay to break American Law for these poor, misguided folks.
Their families should sue the misguided American government for being negligent in enforcing American law and enforcing Border Security so that these people would NOT have been under the impression that entering our country ILLEGALLY WAS ACCEPTABLE. The government's lack of abiding by our Rule of Law instigated these people's deaths.

While I agree that our government is negligent, I don't agree that they should be held fully responsible for the actions of every illegal immigrant that decides to break the law. Actually, there are a whole lot of people/groups in this country responsible for contributing to our illegal immigrant problem, however, the illegals are not guilt free.
If anything, the family's of those lost should be bringing lawsuits against their own government. After all, the Mexican government is an active participant in the fiasco and they should bear the majority of responsibility for their complacency and encouragement. What effort do they make in preventing their citizens from risking their lives on a daily basis?
Of course in reality we all know there are no legal grounds in this instance to bring a lawsuit against any governmental agency. Heck, we, the American people, probably have more grounds for a lawsuit against our government than the illegals do.
2ndamendsis, I know your comment was only in jest, but I wasn't going to pass up an opportuity to bash the Mexican government for their efforts in exporting poverty into the United States! Notice that this story ran in The New York Times with" Illegal Immigrant"
in the headline and in the story. But when illegal immigrants commit crimes against Americans, the NYTs calls them undocumented or just
immigrants if it mentions there status at all.
