Deputies seize drugs, arrest 11 in SE Portland

Eleven people were arrested Friday evening in Southeast Portland after Multnomah County sheriff's deputies recovered more than 2 ounces of crystal meth, heroin and crack cocaine, authorities said. Booked into jail on drug accusations, immigration holds, outstanding warrants or parole and probation detainers were: Victor Henry Chiespejo, 28; Miguel Angel Loezacachon, 46; Angel Rigoberto Yahmiss, 18; Mizel Azcar Loezacarrillo, 22;Jose Francisco Pachecoloeza, 27; Luis Alvaro Bricenocortes, 22; Sheena Marie Hlavinka, 21;Cynthia Mae Dodson, 26;Amillio D. Lopez, 34; Paola Guillermo Bricenocortes, 23; and a 17-year-old boy whose name was not released, said Lt. Michael Shults, a sheriff's spokesman. All but Hlavinka, Dodson and the 17-year-old are Mexican nationals with immigration holds, Shults said. Deputies arrested them at a town house in the 8000 block of Southeast Woodstock Boulevard, Shults said.

Gresham man booked in attack on girlfriend

A 42-year-old Gresham man who was indicted late last year in an attack on his girlfriend was booked into the Justice Center jail Thursday following his extradition to Oregon.

Paul L. Cochell Jr. was arrested April 4 in Oroville, Calif.
by U.S. marshals.

Cochell had disappeared shortly after what police said was a stabbing attack on his girlfriend Nov. 21 in Gresham.

A Multnomah County Grand jury indicted Cochell Dec. 15 on one count each of first-degree assault and attempted murder.

Children find suitcase containing meth gear

ESTACADA -- Three children playing on a dead end street found a suitcase filled with paraphernalia used to cook meth.

The children, ages 6, 10 and 14, were playing near their home on Southwest Maple Road about 9 p.m. Thursday when they found the suitcase, the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office said. Inside were a can of kerosene, pipes, a frying pan and some white residue, said sheriff's spokesman Joel Manley.
