Town Square hiring private security firm

Fifteen no-trespassing signs line the length of the parking lot at Culpeper Town Square along Bus. 29, the unofficial day laborer gathering site for mostly Hispanic men.

The situation has existed for more than three years, but the property owner has taken a hands-off approach to enforcing those signs - until now.

Company spokesperson Stacy Slater of Centro - the national corporation that owns Culpeper Town Square - said Monday that they were in the process of hiring a private security firm to monitor and “manage the situationâ€
