    Houston CBP Seizes Nearly $180K in Undeclared Cash

    (Monday, June 15, 2009)

    Houston – U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at the George Bush Intercontinental Airport intercepted nearly $180,000 in undeclared currency June 11.

    Officers were screening travelers and luggage en route to Mexico when they noted anomalies in a suitcase. Upon further examination, they uncovered bundles of cash totaling $178,390 concealed between the lining and the plastic cover of the suitcase.
