One of suspects pointed a gun at the back of the clerk's head before knocking him to the ground. Police say the guy in the blue hat is 17-year-old Perfecto Rios.
They say he's an illegal immigrant and gang member, wanted in connection to a dozen other robberies in Charlotte, Huntersville, and Kannapolis.
Police also say Rios kidnapped and raped a woman from another business on Monday night. He's in the Mecklenburg County jail tonight.
The name of the second suspect hasn't been released.

CONCORD, N.C. -- Concord police believe robbers who held up two Latino businesses in Concord earlier this week may be connected to similar crimes in Charlotte, Huntersville and Kannapolis.
The robberies in Concord happened within minutes and several blocks of each other Monday night. In the first holdup, a worker at La Tien-‘Dita on McGill Avenue was pistol-whipped, then robbed. The thieves took off with money and drove less than a mile before stopping at Alexis Musica and robbing workers at gunpoint there.
Concord Police Maj. Wendell Rummage said he’s concerned the robbers will get even more violent.
"In every case you see people going in with guns drawn and striking someone, it lends itself to an escalation, and we're trying to prevent that before it does," he said.
The robberies have some business owners suspicious of everyone.
"It makes you kind of paranoid. You watch everybody that comes up. You never know what's going to happen these days," one owner told Eyewitness News.
Anyone with information that could help police is asked to call Cabarrus County Crime Stoppers at (704) 932-7463.
