SD Executive Sentenced For Employing Illegal Immigrants
Federal prosecutors say a former executive at a beef processing plant has been fined $15,000 and sentenced to probation for his part in the employment of 15 illegal immigrants.
Steven McCullough pleaded guilty to the charge in August. The 59-year-old, now of Illinois, was former chief financial officer of Dakota Beef LLC of Howard. The U.S. Attorney's office said the company, through its representatives, pleaded guilty earlier this year to knowingly employing illegal immigrants and was fined $45,000.
