It was a mistake for Tom to make this announcement at this time.

I saw him on Fox News and it seemed he was just giving up on the fight against illegal immigration. He stated he has done all he can do stop this. I was thinking that he was admiting defeat when defeat is not in Alipac vocabulary. I am hoping that no one thinks that this is a wave of giving in.

I am wondering if Tom has plans to continue this fight outside the political arena?

This doesn't seem characteristic of the infamous Congressman, and I wouldn't be surprised to see him surface somewhere with a grassroots effort to help fight this battle.
I sure hope that is the case. We cannot lose our quarterback this early in the game!

It could be that all the death threats are taking its toll. He is a good man, and has fought for Americans the best that he can. I think something may have happened to cause this announcement. Please continue to pray for his protection and that of his family.

I really believe that 'they' have gotten to him. Especially when he made this decision soon after he threatened to call ICE on those illegals (If I remember correctly) who were lobbying for DLs at Governor Spitzer's office.

The only thing that will save this country now is a mass protest of all 300,000,000 of us citizens..all at once. A no work day or the refusal to file by April 15th.
