The US Department of Defense will send 2,100 troops to the Mexican border, to bolster the 4,500 military personnel already there. The move comes amid Democratic Party criticism of President Trump’s immigration policies.
The deployment, announced Wednesday, will consist of 1,000 Texas National Guard personnel and 1,100 active-duty troops. Like those already in place at the border, these troops will not directly engage with illegal immigrants, and will instead provide logistical and surveillance support to border security officers and agents.
Acting Defense Secretary Richard Spencer approved the deployment on Tuesday night, following a request from the Trump administration.

The Department of Homeland Security said that more than 144,000 arrests were made in May, the highest monthly total in 13 years. According to Customs and Border Protection figures, 694,000 illegal immigrants have been apprehended this financial year so far, compared to 404,000 in the entirety of 2018.
Deploying more troops is just the latest action in the Trump administration’s ongoing border crackdown. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents swept through major cities last weekend conducting deportation raids, at the president’s direction.
In addition, a new rule announced by the Justice Department on Monday will see asylum seekers who pass through a ‘safe’ country en route to the US automatically be denied asylum. The rule, expected to come into effect on Thursday, will affect Central American migrants who cross Mexico first before claiming asylum at the American border.

If they are going to "assist" these criminal trespassing illegal aliens into our country and diaper and feed them then what is the point!

Assist them on buses back home and give them nothing!

Less than a month after Congress passed and Trump signed a $4.6 billion emergency spending bill to address the still-raging humanitarian crisis at the border, the Pentagon has authorized the deployment of another 1,100 active-duty troops and 1,000 Texas National Guardsmen - which will increase the number of American military personnel at the southwestern border by 45%.
The new arrivals will join the roughly 4,500 personnel currently stationed at the border.
Richard Spencer, who has temporarily assumed the role of acting defense secretary while Mark Esper, President Trump’s nominee to permanently fill the position, faces confirmation hearings in the Senate.

According to the Pentagon’s announcement, the additional troops will assist in securing points of entry and provide support in migrant holding facilities.
These facilities will include the one in Donna, Texas that Vice President Mike Pence visited last week.
A report this month by the Department of Homeland Security’s inspector general cited unsanitary living conditions in holding facilities, and Democrats have seized on conditions in the facilities to attack the Trump Administration for running "concentration camps" (though some of these same politicians have seized on the opportunity for their own personal PR purposes).
Mexico has also recently deployed more troops to its side of the border, as President Trump's tariff threats still loom large over the bilateral relationship between the two neighboring countries.

If they get 1/2 of these guys working at the holding facilities and the other 1/2 out on the border tracking down illegals and calling in the CBP to arrest/detain them, THIS IS A GOOD THING NOW because Trump supposively changed the ASYLUM PROCEDURE and will send many more back. It appears some of that 4.6 Billion will go to pay for these National Guard and Troops. That's why over 1/2 of the Communist SCUM in the Democrat Party was against the spending bill. I'm still against spending bill, but it allowed for some of the $$$$ to be spent on STEALTH ENFORCEMENT.

Let their President "monitor their well being" on a bus back home.

That is not the job of our military!

We should not be coddling these criminal trespasser, deport them on the spot.

Let our military drive the buses back home!
