Who gets aid for college from the government?

Who gets aid for college from the government?

The illegal immigrant situation we have in our country is not a racist issue, it is a pocketbook issue! When are the American people going to realize this and finally get sick and tired of financially assisting them in their health care, education and anything else that they aren’t paying for. I have heard that they can come into our country, (illegally), and can get financial help to attend our colleges. I couldn’t hardly believe that until it is now affecting me, personally. My daughter who has my four grandchildren, is a single parent who is working two jobs, her main one being a server at a fine dining restaurant in downtown Minneapolis where the majority of her income is tip money. Her oldest daughter graduated from high school in June and has enrolled in cosmetology school her first day being today. She was turned down for a student loan because of my daughter’s credit, and her type of work. The father is in no position to assist her.

In desperation, my daughter called me to ask if I would co-sign a loan, so my granddaughter can have a career in cosmetology, which I will do if she can’t get any financial help. What was really frustrating about this issue, my daughter told me about a young woman, an illegal immigrant from Ecuador who has been bussing tables at the restaurant, recently quit her job because she got financial help from our government to attend college! There is something wrong with this picture!

I know that I am sick and tired of just talking about this problem (and it is a serious one) so I have contacted my congressman’s office to express my concerns regarding this. I would hope others who are concerned about this issue would do the same. I sincerely hope that the rock-throwing incident at the Third of July Parade isn’t the general feeling of the legal residents here. I support the Minnesota Coalition on Immigration Reduction for what they are trying to do to help solve these issues.

At this moment, I am hearing on the radio that there is going to be (another) increase in our health insurance. I wonder why?

When are you going to get sick and tired of being sick and tired?

    Sharon---My reply-----

    Sharon my reply to your:
"When are you going to get sick and tired of being sick and tired? "

will have you think, at first, I am not on your side---I am on your side, I am sick and tired--but, wait--when did you last march with millions of your fellow Americans to protest????

I joined a march in Atlanta. There were about 40-50 of us that showed up. What a real bunch of active patriots we Americans are.....

Compare that to this: let's say you are the representative from a district in Chicago. You see over a million people marching in the streets in Chicago. How many votes do you see??? Versus how many Americans, (we do not use this form of protest often, whereas the immigrants do).

We know that illegals are voting fraudulently. We know that our elected officials feel they have to court the (I am tempted to say Hispanic), the illegal residents. The officials FEEL these people have power. Their sheer numbers had three effects. The negative for illegals: it angered enough Americans to deluge the halls of Congress and kill the amnesty bill. The positive for illegals: it also had a good number of our elected officials sit back and think they had better pander to this large number of people. Third, their marching caused some American citizens of Hispanic ethnicity to start replacing national pride with nationality pride.

Look at the percentage of Americans who do show up to vote. Pathetic. Sure, there will be large numbers who will vote for the Presidency. The President is the penthouse, the Congress is the foundation and the lower floors. We all know how foolish it would be to live in a house with a weak foundation.

So, through our apathy, we allow these things to happen. It is my feeling that we will have lost our country to one ethnic group within 5-8 years.

It is largely our own fault. We can say it is unfair that we have to expend extra effort to keep our sovereign rights. The illegals lay a burden of extra participation on us. We cannot sit home and watch "American Idol" and not participate in our country if we wish to keep it. We must get out there and work at it.
But, yes, I am sick and tired of it. And I admire you for being here. You are America to me and I want you and your children to have your dreams answered before anyone who steals into this great land.

I also fear that, as in many other countries, there will be violence. When enough of our people get sick and tired of no jobs, gas they cannot afford, etc. and then find out how many of the foreclosures are to non-citizens who took their jobs, there will be a breaking point.

I voted for Bush both times. When I look at the opposition, I definitely chose the lesser of two evils. I will never do that again. Win. lose or draw, I will vote for the best, patriotic, Constitution supporting candidate.

I am currently doing some data entry work for a 3rd party candidate. He supports the Constitution. I am being told that I am wasting my vote. No one has the right to say that and they are wrong. If doing or voting for what or who I think will support America, the best, is "wasted" then I need to research the word wasted.

May God spare this great republic.
