Arizona immigration law: Dueling Facebook pages launched

Appalled that Arizona and its new immigration law have become the butt of oh-so-many jokes, a group of social media-minded Arizonans have formed a Facebook group to let folks across the nation know that not everyone supports the law.

Thousands of Facebook users joined the group over the weekend and by Monday afternoon, "I may live in Arizona, but I'm not insane" had almost 8,200 fans.

A competing Facebook page that seeks supporters of the Arizona law, "Stand With Arizona (and Against Illegal Immigration)," has more than 8,600 fans.

"Horrified by daily stories of our administration proposing or passing some ridiculous law?" the page asks. "Join IMLIABINI for news, updates, and to show people that, we the sane, don't support the madhouse antics of Brewer, Arpaio, et al."

Members expressed sadness, anger and disappointment with the new law. They linked to newspaper stories, posted videos and even tried to sell t-shirts opposing "Arizona Apartheid."
