In Law Enforcers last post on the DREAM Act it is mentioned that Rep. Steve King will be chair of the US House immigration subcommittee. Does this, combined with more republican members, translate into faster progress on immigration enforcement. Or will Obama's veto power be cold water on this? I would think in the House the two-thirds majority would be there for stricter immigration enforcement, but not so sure in the Senate. It would take 67 votes.

Just asking. I think it can be done with some artful coalition building, but since Nancy P. and Harry R. are still going to be present......OTOH, maybe Obama will fold.
