(CBS 11 News) FORT WORTH Veronica Lowery and her husband learned of their daughter's death over the weekend when they called the morgue after watching a news report of an accident on South Freeway.

They didn't expect they news they heard.

The Fort Worth parents learned their pregnant 18-year-old daughter was one of two who died when a suspected drunk driver crashed into the couple's car on South Freeway and Ripy.

Jaime Lowery and her fiancé, Salvador Aguilera, died early Sunday morning. The two just left a nightclub and according to police reports, the hit-and-run suspect left a neighboring club about the same time.

Police say less than a mile down the highway, their paths crossed in a fiery crash.

Veronica Lowery describes the deaths as "indescribable pain."

"Not only did (the car) flip and flip and flip, but then the people who did this left. And that’s hard to deal with," the grieving mother said.

This isn't the firs time the family has suffered the loss of a loved one.

"We lost a son when he was 3 in a drowning, but this is a 100 billion times worse," she says. "And to know someone who shouldn't have been on the road did this and then just left them there."

Police say they arrested the passenger, who fled on foot with the driver
The bride-and mom-to-be created a scrapbook that described their upcoming wedding plans and the names the couple picked for the baby.

Police are not releasing the names of the suspected drunk driver because they believe it will be easier to arrest him if his name isn't publicized.
