The "open-borders" community in Minnesota has been very busy putting on rallies, protests, panels, etc., in response to a bill that was introduced in the MN House on March 1 to prohibit sanctuary cities.

Why isn't anyone going after the Catholic Church's IRS status and the fact that the Mexican consul to going around trying to change our laws?

Austin's Hispanic community will have a chance to voice concerns about immigration to a panel of local officials this weekend. (What about the Non-Hispanic community? They don't count? Does the Catholic Church only represent Hispanics now?)

The Mexican consul of St. Paul and Minnesota Immigrant Freedom Network are inviting the community to attend the public forum Sunday at the Queen of Angels Catholic Church. (Isn't this against the Church's IRS status? And why is the Mexican consul allowed to interfer and even have a say about our laws? - not only are they doing it at the church - they are doing it on a Sunday right after mass!)The forum will focus on immigration.

Those attending will have a chance to participate in a discussion and propose solutions to problems that affect the Hispanic community.

The panel of officials will include Mexican Consul Nathan Wolf, Mayor Bonnie Rietz, a police department official, Rep. Jeanne Poppe and Sen. Dan Sparks.

Each panelist will state his or her position and thoughts on immigration, followed by a question-and-answer session.

The forum is one of several arranged by the Minnesota Immigrant Freedom Network in communities throughout the state that the Mexican consulate has been attending.

Aside from providing information for the Hispanic community about local services, there will be information about services available at the consulate for Mexican nationals.
