Police and district attorneys look at immigration proposal

From district attorneys to police chiefs across the state, law enforcement officers are worried about how to enforce one of the nation's toughest immigration bills.
Officials say law enforcement does not have the training, manpower or financial resources to enforce HB 1804, scheduled to go into effect Nov. 1.
"It's all fine and good for the Legislature to say ‘We should kick them all out, or we should put up fences everywhere,' but it creates serious problems for us, the people who are responsible for enforcing it,â€Immigration reform should reflect a commitment to enforcement, not reward those who blatantly break the rules. - Rep Dan Boren D-Ok
