12 dead in rash of killings in Juárez

Two bodies were found Sunday morning on a dirt road at Privada Montes de Oca and Torres del Valle strees in south Juárez, Chihuahua authorities said.
Rolando Fernando GarcÃ*a, 24, and Roberto Fernando Reina, 53, were found riddled with bullets in front of a vacant house, police said. Both men were gagged and had their hands tied behind their backs.
Also early Sunday morning, a 38-year-old man was shot and killed inside a home in the 317 block of Rivera de las Piedras and Rivera de las Barrancas streets. The man was pronounced dead at the scene and authorities retrieved 30 bullet casings.
Saturday night, a 38-year-old man was shot in the streets. Jesús Mario Arellano was found wounded in the chest and left elbow areas at Grama y Gustavo Castillo street, state police said.
Later on Saturday, Federico Murillo Alvarado, 43, was killed as he was shot in a grocery store parking lot. Police said Murillo Alvarado died next to a 1998 Chrysler Town & Country van without license plates.
An unidentified man in his early 30s was ambushed while driving his 1999 Chrysler Cirrus around José Mateos Torres and Sorgo streets. The unidentified victim was shot several times, authorities said. Police recovered 22 bullet casings.
Óscar Alberto Sosa Anguiano, 23, was killed while driving a 1992 Ford Escort at Felipe Angeles and Chihuahua streets. Police recovered 22 bullet casings.
Hours later, Andrés Fraustro Borjón, 35, was shot and later pronounced dead at a local hospital in Juarez.
Late Friday night, a couple was slain when both victims were wandering around an industrial park in south Juárez, police said.
A man and a woman were found next to a blue 1994 Mitsubishi Galant at Boulevard Independencia and Santiago Troncoso Ave. at Salvarcar Industrial Park. The man was later identified as Óscar Javier Silva Hurtado, 23.
Two young women, found dead on a Juárez street early Friday morning, were identified as Jusalet Alejandra de la Cruz Lucio, 19, and Nancy Gómez FarÃ*as, 19.
Their bodies were found wrapped in a green sheet of plastic at the DÃ*az Ordaz overpass and NÃ*quel Street. One of them was stabbed several times and the other victim appeared to be severely beaten.
