HOLLYWOOD - Jon Voight, who is starring in the highly-anticipated FOX show Lonestar, is talking Arizona politics while on the Hollywood red carpet.

"By the way everybody should go to Arizona and spend your money in Arizona," he told FOX 10, speaking out against all the calls to boycott over Arizona's immigration stance.

Voight supports SB 1070.

"Obviously most of the folks around the country feel the way I do, which is why are we attacking our homeland with this lawsuit, what is this lawsuit about, they're attacking somebody because they're supporting the laws of the federal government -- it's a little bit nuts," he says.

Voight is also a big fan of Arizona Governor Jan Brewer.

"We have to support that lovely governor she's just terrific, she represents, she's so down to earth, she reminds you of your family, doesn't she? She's no baloney she just tells it like it is," says Voight.

"I'm for her and the sheriff and the whole team, I'm crazy about these guys and if I get over there I'm going to spend some money."

Voight is known for his support of the Republican party and has even been a featured speaker for Tea Party events.
