Just a few thoughts for a Monday. What do you think?

This writer is asking for thoughts on this. It looks like he needs an education about what the majority of people really think:

I’ve said it before in this space, but I think it bears repeating: If you want to know what makes the United States of America unique, just look in your telephone book.

Almost all of the people in a Parisian phone book will be French; in Beijing, they’ll be Chinese. Only in America can you run your finger down a line of surnames and find echoes of Ireland, England, France, Germany, Russia, Japan and virtually every other nation in the world.

If Mexican citizens could enter the U.S. legally, it seems obvious that fewer would take the chance of entering illegally. So perhaps a better system could be developed to issue work permit cards. Employers in the U.S. could make requests for labor through a central office, and they would be matched with qualified (i.e., no criminal record, reasonably good health) Mexican job-seekers. This would help take this function out of the hands of the often shady private middlemen.
    Here we go again!

Mexican citizens have the SAME opportunities to enter LEGALLY, as every other country. Saying that, we cannot ALLOW the more than 50% from ONE country to enter (legally OR illegally)! The ones who enter illegally are the ones who have NO skills, are illiterate and would never be given green cards, because they will be a DRAIN on our economy!

Immigrants from ALL countries must be vetted and if they are denied, they MUST respect that. The illegal aliens REFUSE to respect that and sneak in anyway. There MUST be NO option but DEPORTATION for these illegal aliens. It must be told to them in no uncertain terms, you are NOT welcome and if you do sneak in, you WILL be deported, you will NOT receive any jobs or benefits.
