Saul joins Elvira in Mexico; to go to school there

MEXICO CITY -- The 8-year-old son of deported immigrant activist Elvira Arellano was reunited with her Friday at Mexico City's airport.

Arellano said she wants her son, Saul, a U.S. citizen, to go to school in her home state of Michoacan so he can learn Spanish.

Saul, whose first trip to Mexico was in November to ask the Mexican Congress to lobby Washington to stop his mother's deportation, received a Mexican passport from his mother as proof of his newly obtained dual citizenship.

They plan to renew the boy's U.S. passport, something he could not do in the United States in the absence of his mother.

Arellano, 32, who was in the U.S. illegally for several years, took sanctuary at Chicago's Adalberto United Methodist Church in defiance of a deportation order. She lived there with her son for a year.

She left the church in August to attend rallies in Los Angeles and was arrested and deported within hours to Tijuana.

Saul, who traveled from Chicago with Adalberto United's pastor, the Rev. Walter Coleman, had little to say to reporters. His mother said the boy told her that "he wants to keep fighting so I can go back with him to the United States."

Arellano said she wanted her son by her side as she fights for the legalization of the estimated 12 million undocumented immigrants in the U.S. and for the rights of illegal Central American immigrants in Mexico.

"In this battle he was the one who kept me on my feet," Arellano said. "If I want to keep fighting from here, I need him with me."

How much does anybody want to bet that CPS stepped in and threatened to take Saul away?

Of course, that witch would never admit it, and CPS would not be permitted to discuss it, but there was a lot of pressure on them to do something because it's their responsibility to ensure that the adults in his life are acting in his best interests in terms of his emotional/physical health, welfare, and safety.

That most certainly was not the case, by any stretch of the imagination, with that poor kid.

I would not be at all surprised if that was the case. That poor kid's life was like a 3 ring circus- and she was all set to keep him out of school so he could go on some 'tour' promoting illegal immigration. It is about time somebody acted on his behalf.
There was an interview with Elvira's parents in the newspaper here a while back. They sounded like very normal people and wanted her to come back home to Mexico. Hopefully, they can be a positive influence in the boy's life. At least now he can live like a normal 8 year old.

Isn't that the words to a song in the 70's by Peaches and Herb? I guess I'm showing my age...back in the day before we were over-run with illegals taking high school kids' jobs away. Jobs they still need today to finance their education and obtain a college education!

Too bad she didn't take a few million with her. Why doesn't she try the crap on the Mexican government, she tries on ours? Could it be a major case of cowardice? If she had the guts to do there what she tried here, who knows? Maybe she could be Mexico's SAVIOR!!!!

Yes, I know....for someone who kept spouting off about her son's educational needs as a reason for her to be permitted to stay, she sure didn't seem to have any real concern, now did she?

But beyond the schooling issue look at what that child's life consisted of. At 8 years old he had been forced into the role of political activist for a subversive, militant group, and he was being literally programmed by these people as well as being fed a steady diet of racism and hate. He was continually surrounded by people from other such groups who were just as bad, and worse, being put into situations where the risk of violence breaking out at any time was extremely high, and, he was at risk of being targeted for harm by some pathetic neo-nazi group, or some disturbed individual with a white supremecy mindset. I don't know how in the heck he was getting proper sleep, he had to be stressed to the max, and even the one article that was published about him recently stated that when he wanted to be off doing what other kids were doing, his mother and the rest were insisting he hand out pamphlets, and otherwise work for "the cause".

That is no life for any child and the poor little guy always looked so unhappy.

But yeah, I suspect that's what happened because you know that Elvira didn't suddenly decide she needed him back there. Why would she? He was the only hope she had of amnesty, still had her hands on any public benefits he was receiving, and let's not forget the monetary donations and gifts rolling in plus the attention on her as long as she could use her child to keep running her mouth.

There's no way that self centered, con artist of a criminalistic parasite, suddenly decided she couldn't bear to be separated from that child.
