Three illegal immigrants led a pursuit that ended after the vehicle hit a light pole.

A woman is in custody and two men are on the run after they were involved in a pursuit after police attempted to make a routine stop.

The chase happened Friday at 7 p.m. in La Grulla.

Police told Action 4 News that they attempted to make a routine stop on a 2000 Ford truck on North FM 2360.

The vehicle then fled from the scene and lead police on a pursuit.

The chase continued as the truck turned on West Military Road, but came to an end as the vehicle slammed into a light pole.

The two men fled the scene on foot into Mexico while the woman remained in the truck with an injury.

The woman was taken to Starr County Memorial Center for evaluation.

Further details are not available at this time.
