PHILADELPHIA — Three workers at a Pennsylvania staffing company admit they scammed the visa system to get hundreds of seasonal workers into the U.S. for clients.
Prosecutors say International Personnel Resources applied for temporary work visas under phony names culled from a Mexican phonebook. They used the documents to place workers from Mexico and Central America in landscaping and other jobs.

Company owner Michael Glah and his wife, Theresa Klish, of West Chester, and office manager Mary Gillin, of Downingtown, entered federal guilty pleas Tuesday. They face sentencing in March.

A fourth person is due in court Wednesday.

Prosecutors say the company accumulated hundreds of visas for arriving workers, leaving fewer available for companies using the system lawfully.
