H. S. Power & Light Ministries - Latino Faith Initiative congratulates BastaDobbs.com and Presente.Org Team for their leadership in organizing a national effort to push Lou Dobbs off CNN. Dobbs had become a major distraction and was dragging CNN's reputation as a world wide news gathering organization into the American gutter with his lies and misrepresentation of the facts. Dobbs not only destroyed his own credibility, but also was creating a problem for CNN as their news integrity took hits night after night that Dobbs appeared on CNN.
Lou Dobbs became obsessed with distorting the truth about Spanish-speaking immigrants in our country. Dobbs basically blamed immigrants and American born Latinos for our country's problems and attempted to scrape-goat us as the reasons middle American was going through a difficult period in the Great Recession.
In the end, his own lies and misrepresentations were the reasons Dobbs had lost the trust not only of the loyal CNN viewer, but eventually the news executives who saw CNN's ratings began to lag behind the cable competition. Finally, after drawing thousands of Latino/as to sign a petition demanding the removal of Lou Dobbs from CNN, Dobbs hit a major low point of criticism and anger, toppling his career at CNN.
"Si Se Puede," the cry of Cesar Chavez and the American farm worker, once again resonated as the shout for justice in our community. We salute the organizers for their vision and fortitude to keep the pressure on and force Dobbs off the air on CNN. In the end, Justice prevailed!!!

Well, that just proves that the pro-illegal groups suffer from a terrible, selective deafness. How many times has Dobbs said that his point is "ILLEGAL ALIENS," not about legal immigrants?
Scape-goating? Sure. They are all using the squeaky wheel ploy--the one that squeaks the loudest always gets the oil.
It is sad that so few people that are here legally or are citizens aren't yelling a lot more.
