The burst of anger on the Barack Obama campaign’s recent news media call was unexpected, but it should not have been a surprise.

For weeks, members of the Spanish-language media had been blogging, writing and outright complaining that the presidential campaigns have not been paying attention to them.

First, they expressed frustration about Republican John McCain’s campaign. About the same time, McCain brought on a media specialist to deal with the Hispanic press.

Then last week, they went after Obama’s communications director, Robert Gibbs, who had gotten on the telephone with reporters to highlight McCain’s “flip-flopsâ€

They are 9% of the electorate yet McCain and Obama pander to the 9% to the detriment of the other 91% of the electorate. The arrogance of the so-called "hispanic press" and the ethnic-hustlers is just astounding....they don't count as much as they boast .....they are only 9PERCENT of the electorate.

With Latinos expected to make up 9 percent of the electorate in November, and perhaps be the deciding factor in Florida and Southwestern battleground states, the candidates’ press offices would be remiss not to return the calls of Spanish-language media sources that serve Hispanics.

NINE percent? Whoaa, God forbid the POTUS candidates diss the 9 PERCENT! They've had no problem pissing off the rest of the country, do these idiots think that 9% would sway them?!?!

Here's another news flash, most immigrants of spanish heritage do NOT mark "hispanic" or "latino" when asked about race, as neither is a race! Brown is also not a race.. Whoa the fool who ignores the majority of voters (aka Americans)!

My thought was their market is smaller than they make it out to be. Americans speak English.

What's crazy is that latinos expect the red carpet to be rolled out for them for their measly 9%. Even worse our so called political leaders will pander to these people (to the detrement of the other 91% of this country) to get that 9% of the vote!

Thats because the other two know that we "have" to vote for one of them. I personally am NOT going to vote for eithe of them, but the millions of other sheep will. We deserve what we get, when we elect jerks like Obama and McCain into office. Bizzaro world for real.

What an arrogant bunch of fools who think they are "Special" and deserve "Special" treatment.

They have NO intention of joining our US American Family,"One Nation Under God",they prefer to be seperatist while they feed their Illusions of Importance in regards to the US Presidential election..

Sometimes I feel they hate the United States,its culture and its citizens............ they just want to use us.......

Well, and don't forget that of that 9% some rather high percentage is illegal and can't vote.

In North Carolina, 45% of our entire Hispanic population are illegal aliens, 92% of them from Mexico.
