CHICAGO (AP) — An illegal immigrant in Chicago is reluctant to celebrate a new deportation policy that could allow many illegal immigrants facing deportation the chance to stay.

Tania Unzueta is a graduate student who could benefit if she ever faces deportation. The 27-year-old came out as illegal last year during a public rally.

She came from Mexico with her parents when she was 10. But their visitor visas have long expired.

Unzueta says she wants to see how the policy will play out before celebrating.

Homeland Security officials announced Thursday that authorities will review cases of about 300,000 illegal immigrants facing possible deportation. Those without criminal records get to stay and have a chance to apply for a work permit.

However, some GOP lawmakers say Obama is working against Congress' will.

That's great, let's call them "coming out" of the closet. It serves to make it even a greater human rights abuse to deport illegal alien criminals if we sidle them up next to homosexuals.

Any idiot that goes around waving the flag of "I've broken the law" should be arrested.

What would authorities do if rapists, bank robbers, extortionists "came out"?

We are the laughing stock of the world right now. Hope it can be fixed. Way too many Americans are angry with the BIG payoff Obuzzard gets from not yet determined sources (Al Gore is real good at bilking the GOVT GRANTS system)and illegal voting. Including most of my HISPANIC friends and relatives.
