Activist Nativo Lopez nearly lands in psych ward

Immigration activist and recalled former Santa Ana schools trustee Nativo Lopez was today ordered to confinement in a psych ward – but within hours, the judge rescinded the ruling.

Based on a psychiatric evaluation, Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge George G. Lomeli initially found Lopez was not competent to stand trial in his voter fraud case and ordered him to Patton State Hospital.

But shortly afterward, Lomeli received a fax with an updated evaluation and decided not to send Lopez to the psych ward after all, according to Los Angeles District Attorney spokeswoman Jane Robison and Deputy District Attorney Juliet Schmidt.

“The psychiatrist changed his mind and decided that Lopez is malingering,â€

Just another member of the latino community. Another shining star for them.

Lopez also ran into difficulties in 2002 over hundreds of thousands of dollars in federal funding received by Hermandad Mexicana Nacional, whose services included citizenship training and English lessons. Prosecutors alleged that Lopez had wrongly used the education grants to pay the mortgage on his headquarters in Santa Ana.

Another "activist" that sets up an organization in order to advocate for the downtrodden and pay his mortage. People like this man are making a fortune off of the illegals, just like the immigration lawyers. They are no better and probably worse than the evil Norte Americano employers.
