OTTUMWA, IOWA -- President Barack Obama made a stop in the City of Bridges after visiting Fort Madison and Mount Pleasant on Tuesday.

He held a Town Hall at the Hellyer Student Life Center in Ottumwa in front of an enthusiastic crowd. He spoke about everything from Health Care Reform....

"Millions of small businesses, including farmers, will be eligible for tax credits to help insure their employees this year. Parents of children with pre-existing conditions will finally be able to purchase the coverage that they need this year," President Obama said.

He also discussed immigration, as the question was posed by Julie Morales, a student at Indian Hills.

"And I was just wondering what your plan was for our undocumented workers," Morales asked.

"We start cracking down on companies that are purposely hiring undocumented workers to undercut the wages of U.S. workers," President Obama said.

The President is traveling to Macon in Northeast Missouri on Wednesday and will conclude his visit to Heartland with a stop in Quincy, Illinois. President Obama is the first sitting President to visit Ottumwa since Richard Nixon paid a visit in 1971.
