An illegal alien pleaded guilty Wednesday to performing a lewd act on an 11-year-old and will be deported.
Elvira Reyes Molina, 58, was sentenced to time served, 95 days, and will be held for immigration authorities. He will also be registered as a sex offender.
Molina admitted kissing the girl and touching her sexually. He had previously claimed that the 11-year-old initiated the encounter - a charge the girl's mother denied when she spoke to the court through an interpreter.
"What Mr. Molina says, that the girl initiated this - it is a lie," the mother said.
"I believe you," Circuit Court Judge Doyet A. "Jack" Early replied.
"This is a terrible offense to my daughter because he touched her," the mother continued.
Early sentenced Molina to time served so he could be deported and the Department of Correction did not have to be burdened by the illegal alien. The family was happy with this punishment.
A mother of newborn twins will be without her children for more than a year after pleading guilty to multiple forgery counts.
Carrie Latasha Mealing will spend 42 months in jail after pleading guilty to a laundry list of forgery charges.
Mealing will serve five years probation when the jail time is finished.
The mother of three took checks from a relative and took an account number from her mother to aid her crimes. She passed more than a dozen checks, though Wednesday she pleaded guilty to only eight counts.
She has more than 10 previous convictions for fraud and forgery.
