    Congressional Hispanics knock Democratic leaders

    Congressional Hispanics knock Democratic leaders

    Wednesday, April 23, 2008

The Congressional Hispanic Caucus denounced House Democratic leaders Wednesday as "spineless" and no better than Republicans for failing to take on comprehensive immigration reform.

Leaders of the all-Democratic caucus, which numbers two dozen, criticized their party leadership at a news conference for scheduling hearings on enforcement legislation and specific visa issues instead.

Rep. Raul Grijalva of Arizona called the Democratic caucus "spineless," while Rep. Luis Gutierrez of Illinois said Democrats were proving themselves "no better than the Republican majority we replaced."

The lawmakers refused to name names but said the piecemeal approach wouldn't be happening without the consent of top House Democratic leaders.

The Hispanic caucus is no better than the radical racist group LaRaza, they don't give a damn about the good of America or all American citizens...we are in a recession, millions of Americans out of work, losing their homes, can't afford gas and all they care about is illegal Hispanic's, do they ever even mention illegal Irish, no they have on group on their mind and that makes them racist.

No more Visa's, we need a moratorium on everything until all Americans are working and our economy is better, and under no conditions amnesty for anyone and I don't care about race for anyone who broke in to the U.S. for did not respect our laws and over stayed visa's! period!

stifle the word comprehensive, I am beginning to hate it, we all know their meaning of that word. You had your amnesty 2 times it did not work remember

Personally I think socioethnic groups like the Hispanic caucus has no place in our government. Aren't they supposed to be representing all of their constituents in their district. This is so divisive. They are the ones forcing us as Americans to think twice about a candidate's ethnic orign.

They are finally showing their true agenda. The Senate and House of Representatives is supposed to be representing all Americans, not just one ethnic group. Anything less than "for all the people" is unacceptable.

There they go again. The "Hispanc Caucus" looking out for the INTERESTS of ALL THE HISPANICS, but not the INTERESTS OF ALL THE PEOPLE.

80%+ OF AMERICANS DO NOT WANT COMPREHENSIVE IMMIGRATION REFORM BECAUSE IT IS AMNESTY.

The CHC is a "spineless" group and they need to be voted out of office.

    As Tim Rutten says:

There's nothing quite like the immigration debate to bring the rude beasts slouching out of our politics' rhetorical fever swamp

Sherry you are so right about this. What happened to the representation of ALL constituents. This indeed does sound like "racial profiling" to me
