Daily Herald

More than $40,000 was also found in the home, along with a stolen gun, which led police to believe the family was distributing the drugs. Omar Martinez-Carranza was charged with possession of a stolen firearm and possession of a firearm by a restricted person.

Omar Martinez-Carranza was on a $5,000 bail for a prior federal drug charge and could lose the money as a result of this arrest, Murphy said.

All three of the other family members were charged with possession with intent to distribute meth, possession of paraphernalia, possession of a stolen firearm and possession of a firearm by a restricted person. Guadalupe Martinez-Carranza was also charged with unlawful possession of ID and possession of fraudulent government documents.

Murphy said the four all have immigration holds because they are in the country illegally from Mexico. Police are seeking federal charges against the family, and Murphy said they will not likely receive bail because of their immigration status.

"They're definitely not here for legal purposes or gainfully employed," he said.
