SIERRA VISTA — A pair of outspoken Arizona sheriffs said if the state does not lead the way, the federal government will eventually kow-tow to those who want immigration reform without securing the border.
Cochise County Sheriff Larry Dever said the state is under attack by the ACLU and the U.S. Department of Justice for attempting to address what is a federal responsibility when it comes to the border.
Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu said the federal government is trying to brainwash the American public, saying the border is safe and secure.
The two spoke to more than 150 people at Saturday’s Lincoln Day Dinner, an annual event hosted by the Cochise County Republican Committee.
Dever, who resigned Friday from a federal, state and local law enforcement group because of the U.S. government’s ineffective handling of border security, said his decision to quit was reached when U.S. Border Patrol and Protection Commissioner Alan Bersin said, in Spanish, that ‘no more’ will those who cross the international boundary with Mexico to do illegal activities be tolerated, and they would be punished to the fullest extent of the law.
The sheriff said when Arizona’s SB1070 was approved and signed into law, one of the Justice Department’s contentions was the bill would only focus on Hispanics.
But with Bersin speaking Spanish, and with billboards at different U.S. Border Patrol road checkpoints with the names of wanted individuals, who all have Hispanic names, the federal government is doing what they claim would happen with SB1070.

The feds are not enforcing the border because it is not politically expedient for those calling the shots - the corruption is ingrained too deeply.
God bless Babeu, not only a true American, but an honest one who really cares about the lives of those living along the border. People are not collateral damage to him.As Aristotle said, “Tolerance and apathy are the first virtue of a dying civilization.â€

sounds like they know where the sites are...now send in troops and clean them out. They bring out an AK47...we bring out a tank. Sounds like a fair fight to me.

Noting in Pinal County he has been told by federal agencies that there are up to 100 posts manned by cartels to ensure their products, illegal immigrants and drugs, make it through, Babeu said he was surprised by the number, saying he thought there was a maximum of 50 such sites.

If the illegal immigrants were taking lawyers, bankers, doctors, government officials jobs/livelihoods these people would never have made it past the border.

No one is brainwashing the majority of American citizens and we are not dumb. We the people knows this Country is unsafe and unstable with millions of undocumented criminals ram shacking this Country in every State, City and Town in America.
What most of us would like to know is why all the unlawful acts are allowed to happen in this Country, when the U.S. have laws in effect to prevent criminals from invading this Country as they are currently?
We would also like to know why are illegal immigrants being protected by most of our Lawmakers, when they are aware of the damages done by undocumented aliens throughout the U.S.?
Why laws in States are not allowed to be steepen against invasions of illegal aliens? Police Officers job duties upgraded to assist ICE with detaining and deportation's of undocumented immigrants. Why are States being sued because Governors wants to enforce laws to protect citizens and Law Enforcement Officers from the many crime offenses occurring on a daily basis performed by illegal aliens?
Americans jobs are being displaced rapidly daily by immigrants residing in this Country illegally, but we are taking baby steps to eliminate the problems, instead of going after employers nationwide with full speed.
Use and train educated unemployed Americans and law students to assist with policing of each State, and assist Federal law Officers with detaining and deportation's of illegal immigrants. This action will not only create jobs, it will also free this Country much quicker of undocumented aliens and end this nightmare this Country is dealing with presently.
We must take actions to pull the U.S. together, otherwise we might someday sweep because we did not act sooner enough. Illegal aliens wants to control America, it is in plain view, every person have to open their eyes and accept the truth before it is too late. When you aid and support criminals, you live a criminal life style yourself:
