Here's the story:
Juan Gomez's Parents To Be Deported
(CBS4) MIAMI The deportation battle involving the Gomez' family is nearly over for the parents. Juan Gomez's parents were denied their final deportation appeal and are expected to leave for their native Colombia on Tuesday.
Juan Gomez is the South Florida student whose friends and politicians helped remain in Florida despite visa problems.
Senator Chris Dodd, a Connecticut Democrat who is running for president, filed a private bill in September that would allow Juan and his brother, Alex, to stay in the U.S. until 2009.
The brothers are facing deportation to Colombia. Their parents brought them to the United States when they were infants and overstayed their visas.
Senator Dodd supports the ‘Dream Act’, which would allow children of illegal immigrants who grew up in the United States to continue their education in the U.S.
