Some say illegal immigration is threatening America’s economy and security

A liberal environmentalist from Aspen and an ex-Marine from Frisco may seem unlikely political allies, but opposition to illegal immigration has made strange bedfellows of them and other Coloradans.

The emotionally charged issue has brought together people with views as varied as their backgrounds.

Terry Paulson, the Aspen environmentalist, is concerned about overpopulation. He believes the country is allowing more immigration â€â€

    Re: Not-so-welcome guests

McCraken doesn’t have an opinion on whether legal immigration policies should be reformed. He just wants to make sure people who enter the United States do so legally. And while it’s probably not practical to deport all illegal aliens, McCraken does think they should be identified.
Yes, it is highly practical to deport all illegal aliens. One simple reason is that we can not afford to allow them to stay. It just simple mathematics of finance.

They all need to go home NOW.

Our $1.6 Billion a year WALL OF AMERICANS will keep them out. Yessirree, we can do this. I proposed this in another thread but here it is again.

2,000 mile border. 20 AMERICANS PER MILE. 40,000 Americans at $40,000 a year which is $20 an hour is $1.6 Billion to Guard Every Mile of the US Southern Border. The job is simple. NO ONE GETS THROUGH YOUR MILE....Whatever It Takes. This allows enough people to guard this mile 24/7/365 in shifts based upon the circumstances of the Mile. Some Miles won't require as many; others may require more and they can work out their shifts according to the circumstances of each Mile. There would be an additional cost for payroll taxes and such perhaps another 18% including insurance so lets add that now for another $288 Million and some supplies and equipment estimate radio, cell phone, night goggles, weapon, sleep gear, leased vehicle--we probably already have plenty of this stuff sitting around somewhere but lets add $20,000 a team upfront cost and call a team 2 so $20,000 x 20,000 = $400,000,000 = total cost to initiate $1.6 B + $288 M + $400 M = $2.3 Billion. First year we save $10 Billion (costs of illegal immigrants to FEDS per CIS) - WALL OF AMERICANS COST of $2.3 Billion = NET GAIN FIRST YEAR $7.7 BILLION.

Would save more the second year because the upfront costs would already be paid for!!

YIPPEE-enforcing our laws with our WALL OF AMERICANS pays off big-time!!

Lets do this!! We can implement this very quickly. Not alot of training required. Allow 2 to 3 weeks. Learn the Mile. Learn the Equipment. Learn: "Stay back, stay out, turn around, go home" in Spanish and other applicable languages. If they need assistance, call Vicente and tell him to get his butt up to the border, he has some citizens in need or if they are not Mexican, he has some illegal aliens we caught for him and he needs to come pick them up. Yep....that's all there is to that.

You know--I'm getting SICK of hearing that we can't afford to deport all of the illegals here. I guess THAT is why our fiscal house is not in order if THESE SAME PEOPLE are the ones who are dictating our policy. Can they not SEE that, yes, there WOULD be an initial outlay that would SOUND large BUT, if they factored in the costs of allowing them to stay here, can they just NOT DO THE MATH?? Can they not see that these people are NOT just sucking us dry for ONE YEAR? They are gonna be sucking us dry for the REST OF THEIR LIVES??? So, you have to be able to figure the YEARLY costs of allowing them to stay here, MULTIPLY THAT BY let's say TWENTY YEARS and see THEN how much money we are going to save in the LONG RUN. The deportation costs are only going to be SHORT TERM. THE savings, on the other hand, are going to be VERY LONG TERM.
I'm FAR from a mathematical genius and even I can see this LOGIC.

Bootsie, I have concluded that politicians as a group did not do well in math. They can't add, subtract, multiply or divide. That makes them very vulnerable if you get my drift. Like they think there's only 8 to 11 million illegal aliens in the US.

That's how many came in since January 2004.

Yeah. I've noticed they have a little problem with figures. I don't know--maybe they were OUT TO LUNCH when BASIC MATH was being taught. OR, maybe they chose the ALTERNATIVE SUBJECT--CORRUPTION--for their curriculum. OR, maybe they weren't YALIES!

Or maybe they had my tenth grade math teacher who would tell the class everyday that as long as we didn't get too loud, we could talk quietly to each other instead of doing math. Then the teacher would put his head down on the desk and take a nap !! We thought it was great at the time ! :P Then we grew up.

As far as numbers of people, all I can tell you is that we're packed in like sardines here in south Florida.

Absolutely we can afford to deport them. We also have the right to recoup our damages and expenses. Things are going to be changing around here...real soon. Those that profitted financially or politically by breaking our laws need to pay...domestics and foreigns. The whole bad lot of them.
