ZAPATA — Texas’ Department of Public Safety released new video Friday, showing the man reportedly murdered on Falcon Lake just hours before his apparent death.

A trooper pulled over David Hartley and his wife, Tiffany Young-Hartley, at 11:30 a.m. on Sept. 30, after noticing their trailer’s tags had expired. He let them go with a warning.

Hours later, Young-Hartley reported her husband had been shot dead, killed by attackers who opened fire on the couple from three boats while they had been riding Jet Skis on the Mexican side of Falcon Lake. Despite searches by U.S. and Mexican authorities, his body hasn’t been found.

The video shows at least three troopers stopping Hartley’s white truck in Rio Grande City. Hartley’s trailer, which carried two jet skis, apparently had expired tags. One trooper asked Hartley about his Colorado license.

Apparently Mexico and the rest of the third world countries south of the border can file papers and participate in a lawsuit against the entire state of Arizona for passing a law that requires proof of citizenship when questioning people suspected of another crime.

    This is bulls**t!!

Our police shouild be able to go look for felons who have comitted crimes against American citizens, especially those that are so close to the border. Without a big fence or armed guards at the border, criminals from Mexico have it far to easy to hit and run.
